PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara(APN) (Persero), Represented by Mr. Renaldi Zein was warmly received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affair of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E Arif Havas Oegroseno, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Jakarta. The visit marked a significant step in aligning Indonesia’s economic diplomacy with the evolving global discourse on sustainable palm oil.
As a seasoned diplomat and former Indonesian Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union, Mr. Oegroseno shared valuable insight on the dynamics of agribusiness in the European market, especially in relation to the forthcoming EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). He emphasized the strategic importance of strengthening Indonesia’s narrative, reinforcing compliance mechanisms, and engaging constructively with key European stakeholders.
During the meeting, APN reaffirmed its commitment as a state-owned enterprise (SOE), to upholding principles of good governance across its operation. This includes rigorous land legality audits, the implementation of a real-time traceability system, and transparent public reporting.
In parallel APN highlighted its integrated approach to good agricultural practices (GAP). This includes structured farmer capacity-building programs, biodiversity preservation initiative, and the progressive adoption of eco-conscious production standards. The company also reiterated its commitment to the RSPO and ISPO frameworks as key instruments in ensuring sustainable land use, labor right protection, and environmental accountability.
